(1)湧水流域について 当初から予想していたように、湧水に関係し、それを維持させている地下水流域(以下湧水流域と呼ぶ)は必ずしも固定したものではないことが明かとなった。 (1) Spring water basins: Spring water basins (groundwater basins associated with, and originating from, spring water) show different characteristics. More specifically, in the season when the water level of groundwater is high, more groundwater contributes to spring water, and during the season when the water level of groundwater is low, only groundwater stored in geographically limited areas serves as the source of spring water. (2) Regional characteristics of spring water and its possibility as an environmental indicator: The water quality of spring water is different from region to region, and each of spring water shows a specific pattern of variations. Therefore, it is apparent that spring water can be used as an environmental indicator of the pollution of groundwater running in the surrounding basins. (3) Percentage of anthropogenic factors to the quantity of spring water: Stable isotope analysis revealed that 30% of the quantity of spring water is influenced by anthropogenic factors, such as percolation from Tamagawa Josui Channel, and domestic waste water. From now on, it will be necessary to think more about the preservation of spring water. |
